Upon arrival at Delhi and after immigration and customs clearance you will be met by our representatives and transfer you to a hotel for fresh-up and a short rest. After lunch sightseeing tour of Delhi, drive past Red Fort, the most opulent Fort and Palace of the Mughal Empire visit Jamma Masjid, the largest mosque in India; and Chandni Chowk, the bustling and colorful market of the old city. Next visit New Delhi. The city was designed and built by the British in the 1920's, with it's wide boulevards, impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. You will visit monuments; Qutub Minar (Tower of Victory) a 72.5 metre high memorial followed by a sightseeing drive along the ceremonial avenue, Rajghat, past the imposing India Gate war 42 meter high memorial Arch is a tribute to the 90,000 Indian Soldiers killed during World War 1, drive past the Parliament and President’s House before continuing the drive to Agra 203 kms for dinner and overnight.
Agra - Jaipur (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the magnificent monument of love – The Taj Mahal, One of the Seven Wonders of the World built by an Mughal emperor in memory of his beloved beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal in 1653. The construction work took 17 years to be completed with 20 thousand workers. Next visit the Agra Fort, a red sandstone fort built in 1565 built by Akbar The Great, witness skilled craftsmen doing fine inlay marble work and shopping for marble souvenirs. After lunch drive to Jaipur 234 kms and enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri Unesco World Heritage Site - the deserted red sandstone palace city that was built by Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son. This fairy tale city is preserved in pristine condition and is easy for one to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. The palace had to be abandoned due to scarcity of water. Visit the graceful buildings within the former city like Jamma Masjid, Panchal Mahal and Tomb of Salim Chisti. Arrive Jaipur for dinner and the night stay at hotel.
Known as the “Pink City”, Jaipur is the capital of the colourful state of Rajasthan. After breakfast depart for excursion to Amber Fort a marvelous example of Rajputana architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. Go up the fort on the back of a gaily-caparisoned Elephant true to the style of the Maharajas of the past. The interior of the fort has various royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirror and glasswork complemented by exquisite wall paintings. After lunch, venture back into the city for a tour to the City Palace Museum where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art. Also visit the awe inspiring Jantar Mantar (an accurate observatory built in 1726 AD) and not forgetting a photo visit at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires. You can shop for gem stones which Jaipur is famous for. Dinner and overnight.
Jaipur - Delhi - Srinagar (Kashmir)(B/L/D)
Early morning drive to Delhi (235 kms) Domestic airport for a mountain flight to Srinagar, the Summer capital of Kashmir at the height of 5200 ft above sea level, which is located on the foot of Himalayan Mountains, were tourist enjoy living in Houseboats which are anchored on famous Dal Lake. A Kashmiri warm welcome greets you on arrival from airport to jetty by cars and after which transfer to Premium Deluxe Houseboats via Gondolas better known locally as Shikaras (Water Taxis). After lunch at your houseboat cruise on Dal Lake in these shikaras visiting the Floating garden, Lotus gardens (Summer), back waters of the lake, cruise will go through canals. Return to houseboat in the evening followed by dinner and stay at Deluxe Houseboat.
Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (B/L/D)
After an early breakfast enjoy an excursion to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) at a height of 8800ft above sea level. Here you will witness the beauty of Nature surroundings of Kashmir set out like a Doll’s village enroute stop at few villages to witness the country life of Kashmiris. Gulmarg used to be a favourite hunt of the British in summers and you will find old colonial flavoured hotels and shops in the village. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat (26,600 ft) if weather permits. Gulmarg has highest 18 holes golf course in the world and has developed into a famous Ski resort take a gondola ride high above the meadows of Apherwat and Khilanmarg mountain at 10 200 fft above sea level. Lunch will be served at Gulmarg resort and enjoy the beautiful mountain sceneries from Khilanmarg meadows. Later return to Srinagar enroute visit the Jamma Masjid the biggest mosque in Kashmir built in 14 century, a beautiful architectural work with influence from Central Asia and China with 4 Pagoda type minarets and garden in the centre of the Mosque, later visit famous Mughal Gardens situated on the banks of Dal lake with Zaberwan mountain range on the back ground and Lake Dal on the fore ground visit Nishat garden ( Garden of Pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD over looking the crystal clear Emerald green waters of the Dal lake then to Shalimar (Garden of Love) built by Mughal Emperor Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. During Spring until Autum these gardens are full of flowers. Also pay a visit to Kashmir Famous Handknotted Silk carpet weaving factory for good bargains, look for pure Pashmina Shawl while you are in Kashmir. Afternoon visit Handicraft centres for Papier machine work and walnut wood work centers. Dinner and overnight stay in Houseboats.
Srinagar - Sonamarg (B/L/D)
Depart early morning after breakfast for a wonderful trip with picnic lunch to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold) at a distance of 85 kms, situated at a height of 8900 feet above sea level. Enroute visit Hazratbal Mosque the most prestigious mosque in Kashmir and it also claimed to house a Hair of Prophet Mohamed pbuh. The distance will take about 3 hours drive up to Sonamarg which goes along the Sindh River. It is also known as the Sindh Valley Tour. The drive is very spectacular with beautiful sceneries along the way. Enroute stop at Kangan village a interesting small town where you find various mountain people from surrounding valleys doing trading. Once you reach Sonamarg you will feel like you are in the Swiss Alps, Later take a short trek to the Thajwas glaciers on foot or ponies as optional tour, later return to Srinagar. A farewell Kashmiri dinner awaits you at your houseboats.
Srinagar - Delhi (B/D)
Morning breakfast enjoy some time on the front porch of your houseboat and witness the activities around the lake area as the World goes by and you can also enjoy last minute shopping for souvenirs and later transfer to airport for flight to Delhi lunch on board. On arrival in Delhi you will visit the local markets for materials and sarees. Later proceed for farewell dinner for North Indian Tandoori food at Local restaurant, and thereafter check in hotel for overnight stay.
Delhi - Singapore (B)
After breakfast, free at leisure until your transfer to Delhi International airport for your flight home.
